There’s one of those fill-in-the-dots quizzes out there to see which theologian one’s most like. I can’t say the Calvin result shocked me, so long as its taken with a grain of salt. After all, I doubt he would have liked me.
Oddly enough, I find it rather affirming for given Universalist (and Unitarian) origins, I would have to skew Reformed or Anabaptist. And I know which side of the theological toast my bread is buttered on.
The Genevan side, of course.

Funny. I got Paul Tillich. What does that mean?
Posted 14 Jun 2005 at 6:46 pm ¶Yeah, I was Tillich, too — 67% — with a good dose of Moltmann. But I kept thinking as I took the quiz that I don’t care enough about some of the questions. Perhaps I let my ultimate commitment down: I may have taken the quiz in a fit of indifference.
Posted 14 Jun 2005 at 7:11 pm ¶I also got Paulus, 89%. Moltmann was in the 70s too. But I think I have a dreaded seminarian disease where I use the language of whichever theologian I have studied in depth most recently.
Posted 15 Jun 2005 at 12:11 am ¶God help me, or “Ground of Being” help me! I got Tillich too with a close second Schleiermacher. As for the Rev. Wells, anyone who likes wearing those bands in the pulpit should not be surprised that Calvin is his man.
