Shopping for vestments: Wippell’s catalog online

Of all the vestment makers out there, I think Wippell’s is my favorite. (Not that I have any of their gear, but the Boy can dream.) They’ve had a website for ages: a backwards, nearly useless website. At last they’ve gotten parts of their catalog scanned and up as PDF files. (But as always, no prices.) That’s a start, and a guide to good taste for clergy. Download away.

  1. Wippell’s is excellent and has done a great deal of work for my church but you should look at Patrick Boylan’s wonderful designs at Grace Vestments in New York ( and that of Holly Starling of TwoDog Vestments in Atlanta ( Both web-sites have teriffic pictures of their work.
