My moment in television

Sorry gang for not writing. Mom and Dad are in town — more about that later — for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Because Dad was on duty most of the time, I entertained Mom on Friday and Hubby joined in over the weekend.

  1. Friday, north of Dupont Circle. “What is that over there? Look Mom. They’re filming 24,” as we were passing the craft service table. I don’t like action shows with a torture story line. She thought Keifer Sutherland is cute.
  2. Sunday, in Chinatown. Hubby and I walked past a guy with a camera and a boom mike near one of the Chinese restaurants we don’t like. News camera crew staging for the parade? No. As we walked past, I made eye contact with Tom Cavanagh, assumed a connection with the 24 shoot and was grateful he was working.

Apropos of nothing, I wonder how 24 is filming through the writers’ strike?

    Establishing shots, perhaps?
