FWIW, I use a Moleskine weekly planner but not the journal. I couldn't really think of anything I wanted to preserve in a bound journal. Why memorialize my grocery shopping? It might make a cute customized breviary, but that's another matter. Or a real travel journal. But not for daily organizing.

For jotting notes etc. I use the Levenger shirt pocket briefcase. Sadly, the less expensive one (the "ballistic" material) is no longer available. But the general concept is good--you keep the cards you need, you toss them when you're through.

I've also been playing with the Levenger Circa line. That too is another matter.
