Make your own notebook

People will talk, saying Ms. Theologian is my favorite, but I like all my readers.

That said, check out this beautifully-designed page, which shows you how to make your own Moleskine-sized notebook.

  1. Ms. Theologian responds:

I think we have similar paper/pen/notebook fetishes.

  2. Scott Wells responds:

Mine’s more fountain pen and safety razor fetishist.

I have a bottle of blue-black ink and four fountain pens — one 40 years old — on my desk. My razor is also about 40 years old and was my paternal grandfather’s.

I found the notebook-making page by accident and thought it might be useful.

  3. Ms. Theologian responds:

A good razor is hard to find.

  4. Scott Wells responds:

Are you coining a phrase, or asking for a product?

I like single-blade razors; I think they shave better than double or triple blade because the goop is easier to clean out of them.

Also, at 20 cents a blade — which I change every two weeks and have been known to clean and flip for extended wear — I could use a different one every day and it would still be cheaper than the HyperHexaPlex (or what-have-you) cartridges for sale.

  5. Ms. Theologian responds:

I was stating a fact, actually.

Jim got a Quattro something “free” in the mail recently. The refill blades are like $4/each. Hard to imagine.

  6. Scott Wells responds:

And there, ladies and gentlemen, we have a “razor and razor blades” scenario.
