Listening to podcasts

I try to keep up with new technology, as money allows me the hardware. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve replaced browsing through blogs loosey-goosey with RSS feeds. I’m up to 150 feeds; some are now podcasts.

The reason I’ve moved to podcasts — the Internet transmission of sound files usually to be played on portable audio devices — is that I bought a portable MP3 player. Not an iPod, which I worried wouldn’t work with my Linux box, but a SanDisk 512 mb Digital Audio Player. Apart from playing MP3, it has a radio and can record voice, dictation-style.

I’ll write about the better religion, DC, and sustainable living podcasts.
