Ernesto and Joe

When I went out about 4pm, there was wind and some light rain but nothing serious. I lived much of my childhood in suburban New Orleans, so a tropical depression was hardly depressing news. So why did I go out?

Because the District of Columbia’s Trader Joe’s opened today! Having no car, this means this was the first time I could get frozen food at TJ’s in more than a year. And I did. (No close subway access, but the 30-series buses work.)

Of course, I worked my way home just in time to get blasted in the face with a stinging spray of rain, getting soaked to the shoes. But I have red pepper spread! soy nuggets! chicken gyoza!

Oh — and there is more content at UniversalistChurch.net. Go and see.
